Setting Up Veriphone P400 Credit Card Machines (eCW)
Credit Card Reader:
- Plug in reader by sliding the upper piece off the back of the machine and inserting the power cord.
- Once plugged in and powered on, hold 1, 5, 9 at the same time.
- Tap on Com Control.
- Tap on Wifi.
- Tap Configuration.
- Enter password 200331.
- Tap OK.
- Tap WIFI scan at the bottom right.
- Choose Kiosk AC.
- Click on PSK.
- Enter Password.For special characters use the 1, *, 0, and # buttons
- Click Yes to start configuration.
- On the Com Control screen, if it is connected to the WIFI, it will say WIFI up. If it does not connect, go back to the WIFI configuration (step 3-7), click on AC Kiosk, then remove WIFI and re-add the WIFI.
eCW Setup:
- Find the device name from the card machine by clicking 000 and entering password 9416557.
- Next to Cloud Device ID will be the Device Name (should be cedevice:______). Note this name for entering the device into eCW.
- Login to eCW, navigate to the Menu > Epayments tab > Facility Configuration.
- Go to the Other Payment Services tab at the top, then the OpenEdge tab.
- The machine must be added to each facility by clicking the first icon on the right side of each row.
- On the settings screen, click the orange EMV Device button at the bottom of the screen.
- Click New at the top right and enter the Device Name and the Device ID from the card machine. The device name correlates to the front desk window where the card machine will be located, i.e., ID 1 Front Window, ID 1 checkout, etc.Make sure the device ID is correct, it cannot be changed once saved.
- Click Save.
Testing Machine:
To ensure the device is triggered, have the front desk take a test payment and verify the machine lights up to take the payment. They can use TESTECW and put a $5 copay on the appointment, then run the card normally, without posting the payment to a claim. The machine will light up with the copay amount, meaning it is working. Cancel the transaction by tapping the red x on the machine and the front desk can close out of the appointment screen
