How to address low toner, maintenance kit, or fuser assembly alerts

  1. On the physical printer's control panel, you will be able to determine if any printer error messages are showing. Click OK to view the error messages. This will let you know if you are running low on toner, the fuser, or the maintenance Kit is at the end of life.

First, try temporarily clearing the message by clicking the Check or Confirm button on the printer's control panel, or power down the printer and power back up to clear the message.

If the message persists, it indicates the toner is nearly depleted, the cartridge should be replaced, or the maintenance kit needs replacement soon. If the message reappears after a new cartridge is installed, or if you're experiencing print quality issues, replace the cartridge. If it remains, then order a maintenance kit.

For Fuser alerts, follow the same process.
