Standard Naming Convention for Assets

Please note the following: There is a maximum of 15 Characters on the workstation/laptop due to the NetBIOS naming convention.
  • Equipment numbering always starts with 01.
    • Workstation: 1010-WS01, 1010-WS02, etc.
    • Printers: Paper Printer = 1010-PTR081, Label printer = 1010-LPT061
      • The number is taken from the last octet of the IP address of the printer.
