Adding a Customer to Ring Central Phone Tree

You'll need to create the customer extension first if the customer does not have a Ring Central account. Click here if you need to create an extension.
  1. Go to Phone Systems => Groups => Call Queues and create a queue to which you want the user’s call to go when they are selected in the phone tree:

Example:

  1. Once you have the call queue created, Click on the call queue:
  1. Select Call Handling and Members
  2. Click on + Add Member:
NOTE: For a doctor or physician, it may be their MA or themselves or both.
  1. Search on the customer you want to add:
  2. Click done to save:
  1. Go to Pickup Settings & Members. Add the same users and Save the queue.
  1. Go to Phone Systems => Auto-Receptionist => IVR menus and Search on the IVR Menu, then Select the IVR to which you want to add the user:
  1. Click on the IVR menu you need:
  1. Click Key Presses and
  1. Select the next available key with the action of “Connect to,” find the queue you created above, and select that queue. Click Save.
  1. Click on the Prompt on the left and listen to the current prompt.
NOTE: If the user is not already in that audio file, you will need to create a new audio file and add that user. (Only Tony or Marshall does this step).
  1. Users are added to an audio prompt alphabetically by last name, not key number:
  1. Once the audio file has been updated, test the call flow by calling in and following the prompts to that user's queue.
