Turning on User Access Control

Pioneer Updates – Need Admin Credentials 

NOTE: If you are unable to Right click and Run as Administrator under the customer profile, User Account Control is turned off. To turn this back on, follow the steps below.
  1. Login to customer computer:
  2. Left Click on windows Icon:

  1. You can either Log customer out or Switch users:

  1. Sign in with your Admin Credentials.
  2. Open UAC (User Account Control Settings) by typing the name in the windows search bar:
  3. Click on Change User Account Control:

  1. Sign in with Admin Credentials:

  1. Once signed in, Turn on UAC by moving the lever up and then choose OK to save: 

NOTE: Turning on UAC allows the customer to run Pioneer as administrator.
  1. Once that has been completed you can Sign out or Log Off and let the customer login to the device. 
  2. Once customer is logged in, you can Right click on Pioneer Icon:

  1. Choose Run as Administrator and enter your admin credentials

  1. Once the update installs under the customer profile, they should be able to launch Pioneer.
