Desktop Scanner Driver Issues

If the customer is still having issues scanning after the device driver was pushed through InTune.

Could Be:

  • Microsoft/Intune has had some degradation so some devices may have not synced still.
  • A conflicting software like DR-C225 software is different than CaptureOnTouch and will cause the scanner to not work if it’s also installed already.
  • The TWAIN driver may not be installed but should get deployed via Intune but if it’s missing for some reason it won’t scan then either.
  1. Login to customer device
  2. Conduct a reboot to see if the driver downloads that was pushed. Test scanning .
  3. If the scanner is still not able to scan.
  • Check for any conflicting software
  • Check for Twain Driver, If not present .
  • Go to Scanner Driver site
  • Choose:

  • Install - Reboot the machine

  • After reboot, test with customer scanning in a doc with captureontouch and in Pioneer to validate that all scanning is working .
  • This should fix the issue of not being able to scan.
