Setup Email Forwarding for Cloud Only Account in Azure or Entra

  1. Enable Roles
    1. Enable Roles for Exchange, Users, and HelpDesk
  2. Open Exchange Mailbox
  3. Go to Exchange Admin Center and Select Mailboxes
  4. Open Mailbox Properties
  5. Select the Mailbox for the needed User Account and go to Other Section for Custom Attributes
  6. Edit Properties
  7. Edit Custom Attributes
  8. Set Expiration
    1. This should be 30 days by default. If the manager requests longer than 30 days, it must be approved by valerie.castello@avitacaresolutions.com. Her approval must be added to the ticket.
    2. If Exec or SLT need to check with Legal if they want Lit hold or any other specifics.
  9. Set ExtensionAttribute5 in YYYY-MM-DD format
  1. Open Azure Groups
  2. Go to Azure, aka Microsoft Entra, to access Groups
  3. Set Email Forwarding based on the Group
  4. Assign Group for Email Forwarding to needed User Account
  5. Click the Select button on the bottom of the screen.
